LED FORWARD LAMPS' CANbuses

CANbus (Controller Area Network bus) is an electronic device designed to address compatibility issues that may come up when replacing your current halogen headlight bulb with an LED Retrofit halogen bulb due to the lower voltage of LED bulbs. CANbus system ensures the proper functioning of LED headlights by communicating any mismatch between electrical systems; it measures resistance in the circuit and pulse signals emitted by the bulbs, and may trigger a warning light if it encounters any of the following issues: flickering when bulbs are turned on, displaying headlight errors, bulbs staying illuminated after being turned off, abnormally dim light output.

Not every vehicle is necessarily CANbus-compatible; find out whether your vehicle is CANbus-friendly before making a switch to LED retrofit bulbs.
